VCAT Review August 2026

There were just the 29 decisions in the Land and Environment division of VCAT in August. By my count, on average each month this year has yielded 31.7 decisions.

VCAT Review July 2026

To celebrate the final of the world cup, the Tribunal did a Beth Mooney and smashed out a quickfire 32 decisions in the Planning and Environment List in July.

VCAT Review June 2026

June saw 34 reported decisions in the Land and Environment Decision of VCAT including the first Red Dot of 2026! (must have read the May blog...)

VCAT Review May 2026

There were 32 reported decisions in the Land and Environment Division of VCAT in May with the wait continuing for this years first red dot. On that point, for lovers of pointless and meaningless statistics, in the 2020’s the first red of each year was in February 2020, February 2021, March 2022, March 2023, January 2024, and March 2025.

VCAT Review April 2026

Another quiet month for decisions in the Land and Environment Division of VCAT with just 29 reported decisions in April. As always, there were a several decisions of interest but firstly a shout out to Towong Shire Council for making their first appearance in VCAT decisions since 2020! Somewhat of an achievement, though their appearance last month is one they’d probably prefer to forget…
